Often, the struc­ture of the classroom environment is far less anxiety provoking for unique learners than surviving the unstructured playground time during recess. The lack of structure during these breaks from class­room can be bewildering for many unique learners. Unique learners tend to flourish when consistent structure is provided whereby they can anticipate the activities that comprise their day. An adult may need to help them structure their time at recess.
